By mid-1997 I was developed the early type edition was called "Muisca Sans" as my work for the degree in Graphic Design (Universidad Nacional de Colombia), based on the principle of pre-Columbian figures attributes within some of the very couple of visual aspects recuperated from the Muisca culture, ancient pre-Columbian people disappeared before the arrival of the Spaniards in what is now central Colombia. In reality, the name of the capital Bogotá (the capital of Colombia) goes back to Bacatá as main or town downtown of what was once the royal capital of people Muisca. Although this unfinished early typographic project has not yet been released, Tequendama is the evolution of the very first one.

Tequendama advises the misconception of Muisca culture and faith of this people. The god Bochica, a sensible old male with a white beard heard the sobs of his people suffered versus flooding of their land losing harvests before the magnificent punishment resulted by the upset god Chibchacun. However Bochica appeared wearing a white bathrobe sitting on a huge rainbow and he broken the mountain towards the southwest sensible old guy with a golden personnel broke the mountain to drain the flooded savanna. This emblematic and iconic location would later be called as "Salto de Tequendama". Tequendama name likewise been embraced to a neighboring province to Bogotá.
